UK Company Brando has came out with a handheld GSM phone jammer.  This handheld unit works from 5-10 meters range.  It will block GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz frequencies.  This can be considered illegal for the fact that it can jam emergency phone calls to 911.
