I haven’t used Blackberry Messenger a whole lot but it is pretty handy, especially if you have co-workers or friends with blackberry devices.  The messages are very quick and it even allows you to embed images and files into your messages.  These pictures send way faster than a MMS message and there is now retrieving required.  It actually just embeds an image thumbnail in the message and you can view the full size with a quick click.  All you need is the persons phone number and blackberry pin.
