I don’t work for RIM but I do believe the build quality of the Pearl 2 is more solid than the Pearl 1.

I am not going to make a totaly new post for a reply that would just be way to complicated. The 8130 is going to be different in the fact that it runs OS 4.3 not 4.1 or 4.2 which Blackberry has put great work into. Yes I would consider the 8110 and 8120 a second generation sure type device. I would hope the Pearl 2 is better quaility as it has been 2+ years sense the Blackberry 8100 pearl orginaly launched. The orginal Blackbery 8100 has different color led's for the trackball. I dont know why they changed this, as people love to be able to change the color and for some reason people that see my blackberry love that its a different colors.

Yeah, I guess you are on fire tonight.

Here is my reply comment to the first post and reply post to my first comment... (this could get confusing).

My next question/statement is have you ever held an 8100 (Pearl 1) in one hand and held an 8130 (Pearl 2) in the other? They are slightly different.

And do you consider the new GSM 8110, 8120 Pearl 2's to not be a second generation Sure Type device?

I don't work for RIM but I do believe the build quality of the Pearl 2 is more solid than the Pearl 1.

I suppose we could go back and forth about this... so I'll end by saying that in my experience with both devices I'd choose the Pearl 2 (regardless of CDMA or GSM) over the Pearl 1.

I do agree with your rant if I were a case manufacturer. And what's up with not being able to change the color of the trackball????!!!!????
